This intermediate-level position involves preparing anesthesia equipment, assisting with patient monitoring, maintaining inventory, and providing technical support during anesthesia procedures.The Anesthesia Technologist II works under the direction of licensed anesthesia providers and collaborates with anesthesia team members to optimize patient outcomes and ensure patient safety. Job Responsibilities 1 Consults Operating Room schedule to determine supply and equipment needs for procedures. Sets up, tests, calibrates, and operates complex physiologic monitors such as anesthesia workstations, intubation/airway devices, fiber optic endoscopes, physiologic monitors, and infusion devices. Troubleshoots anesthesia equipment malfunctions, routing non-functional equipment to the proper department for repair. Participates in the operating room infection control programs by performing duties such as maintaining cleanliness in anesthetic equipment in accordance with quality assurance programs.
