AlMadina Misurata Holding Co., a leader in manufacturing, investment, and contracting in Misrata, is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our financial team and contribute to our ongoing growth and operational excellence.

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Misurata, Libya

Department: Finance & Accounting

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations and journal entries, ensuring compliance with approved accounting standards and policies.

• Prepare final accounts, financial statements, monthly closings, and periodic reports—whether monthly, quarterly, or annual—accurately and on schedule.

• Review the General Ledger, perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flows and treasury/bank transactions, review customer and supplier accounts and balances, and manage the fixed asset register and depreciation.

• Assist in budget preparation, monitoring and analyzing variances between the budget and actual results, and evaluating financial performance.

• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies regarding audit activities and tax obligations, and collaborate with internal audit and costing departments.

• Analyze financial data and provide actionable recommendations to management to improve financial strategies and policies.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience (prior experience in holding companies or corporate environments is preferred).

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus).

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, high attention to detail, time management, and effective communication skills.
