About Dolphin Dolphin Oilfield Equipment Services is an Abu Dhabi (Mussafah) industrial services company serving ADNOC group companies, EGA, Borouge and other oil & gas, power and industrial clients across the UAE. We manufacture, service and retube heat exchangers, execute EPC-stage site works — structural, piping, equipment installation — and deliver shutdown and turnaround maintenance campaigns onshore and offshore.
The Role We are hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer / Site Engineer to own the execution of EPC-stage project scopes for ADNOC group and industrial clients: structural steel, piping installation and tie-ins, pump and equipment installation, and civil interfaces such as foundations. You take a project from award handover to final acceptance — one accountable engineer per job. Current projects include HVAC package installation and commissioning, site piping extensions and gas-line tie-ins, isolation-valve replacement campaigns, and plant construction works at sites in Abu Dhabi, Ruwais and Habshan.
What You Will Do• Own assigned EPC project scopes end-to-end across UAE sites — mobilisation, construction, inspection, close-out.• Study contracts, scope documents and drawings (P&IDs, isometrics, GA and fabrication drawings); raise technical clarifications and close scope gaps before mobilisation.• Plan ahead of execution: two-week look-ahead schedules, WBS-based progress measurement, and progress reporting that supports invoicing.• Lead 1–2 site supervisors and their crews; coordinate subcontractors and workshop interfaces.• Drive mobilisation readiness: tool and equipment packing lists, manpower allocation, site passes and inductions.• Work with QA/QC on ITPs, inspection hold points, NDT and testing; host client and third-party inspections; close NCRs.• Act as the client's day-to-day technical contact at site; manage queries, RFIs and progress meetings.• Track man-hours and materials against the estimate; flag deviations early; record issues and lessons learned.
What We Are Looking For• B. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.• 3–7 years of site execution on EPC, construction or brownfield projects in UAE/GCC oil & gas, power, water or heavy industry.• Able to read and work from P&IDs, isometrics, GA and fabrication drawings.• Working knowledge of welding, NDT, testing sequences and inspection hold points (ITP).• Hands-on experience under permit-to-work (PTW) systems on client sites.• Strong written and spoken English for client-facing reporting. Preferred / a plus:• ADNOC Permit Requester / Permit Holder certification and current site passes.• Multi-discipline exposure: civil/foundations, E&I, HVAC interfaces; commissioning support.• Primavera P6 or MS Project; ASME Sec VIII / TEMA familiarity; UAE driving licence.
What We Offer• A live project portfolio inside the ADNOC ecosystem — real scope ownership from day one, with acting project-manager exposure on sites without a dedicated site manager.• Clear growth path into senior engineer / project management roles as the company expands its EPC business.• Competitive salary and benefits per UAE labour law; package aligned to experience.• Immediate start available.
Working Pattern — Read Before Applying Site-based whenever projects run (Abu Dhabi, Ruwais, Habshan; mobility to Oman and Qatar). Six-day weeks are normal on live projects, with day/night shift assignment during peaks and extended hours around milestones. This is a field engineering role, not a desk role.
How to Apply Apply through this platform with an updated CV, or send your CV to recruitment@dolphin.ae with the subject "Mechanical Project Engineer – EPC". Candidates available in the UAE with transferable visas will be prioritised; immediate joiners preferred.
