<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <span><u><b>Job Summary</b></u> <br></span><p>The General Practitioner will develop an ongoing relationship with the patients, providing continuity of care, and focus on their overall health, physical and mental, to keep them healthy and out of the Hospital. </p><br> <br><br><u><b>Job Responsibilities 1</b></u> <br><p>Performs his/ her duties under the direction of the Medical Director/CMO.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Provides adequate quality care for the patients.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Follows the standards of care.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Ensures a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Demonstrates commitment to Continued Medical Education (CME).&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Contributes with ideas that support efficient, effective, and quality care.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Provides input into the preparation and consolidation of the Department’s budget, identifies areas of unsatisfactory performance (if any), and recommends mitigating actions.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Contributes to developing policies and procedures, workflows, equipment, and clinical coverage for different hospital sitting around the clock.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Ensures their work is performed and conducted in continuing compliance with the laws, regulations, and the highest standards of Compliance.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Oversees the professional and ethical conduct of the Department’s staff.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Liaises with other healthcare professionals (eg midwives, pharmacists, health visitors and psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams, to ensure the best patient care and patient experience. </p><br> <p>Provides input into the development and implementation of the Department’s policies, systems, processes, and procedures and identifies potential areas of improvement to support an efficient and effective patient care.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Ensures compliance with all relevant organizational Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Quality Management (QM) policies, procedures, and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service standards and a responsible environmental attitude.&nbsp;</p><br> <br><br><u><b>Job Responsibilities 2</b></u> <br><p>Treats acute and chronic illnesses and provides preventive care and health education to patients of all ages.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Treats common medical conditions and performs routine exams.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Provides confidential patient consultations and initial medical care.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Assesses the patient with a physical exam and a review of their medical history.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Orders additional tests, recommends treatment, or connects the patient with a specialist.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Anticipates and responds to patients' wellness-related questions and concerns. </p><br> <p>interprets findings from investigations such as blood tests to help reach a diagnosis.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Prescribes appropriate medications and lifestyle alterations. </p><br> <p>Refers the patients to other medical services or doctors if they need urgent or specialized treatment.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Uses basic life support skills and emergency procedures such as defibrillation where necessary.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Provides life-saving treatment in an emergency until emergency services arrive.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Inspects and updates patients' records.&nbsp;</p><br> <br><br><b>Additional Responsibilities 3</b> <br><br><u><b>Job Knowledge &amp; Skills</b></u> <br><p>Strong Knowledge of General Medicine.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities in GP practice. </p><br> <p>Ability to work long hours, often under pressure.&nbsp;</p><br> <p>Demonstrated ability to work within a matrix organization integrating knowledge of, and respect for, functions and reporting lines of other departments. </p><br> <p>High degree of self-organization, as well as highly successful communication, relationship, and engagement skills. </p><br> <p>Ability to spot and solve problems, requiring effective decision-making skills</p><br> <br><br><u><b>Job Experience</b></u> <br><p>5 years’ post graduate experience (Out of which 2 years in a government or semi-government Facility).</p><br> <p>Minimum 1 year of experience in GCC (preferred).</p><br> <br><br><u><b>Competencies</b></u> <br>Agility<br>Build High-Performing Teams<br>Patient Assessment L3<br>Provide Direction<br>Diagnostic Skills L3<br>Preventive Medicine L3<br>Chronic Disease Management L3<br>Good Medical Practice L3<br>AI Fluency<br>Leadership<br>Quality<br>Resilience<br><br><br><u><b>Education</b></u> <br>Bachelor's Degree in Doctor of Medicine<br>Doctoral degree in Doctor of Medicine<br><br><br><br> </div>
