<p>Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Break & Fix Support) Location: Tripoli Employment Type: Freelance (On-Call Basis) Priority: High (Immediate Hiring) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide Break & Fix support services across enterprise infrastructure environments. This freelance, on-call role requires a highly skilled professional who can diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, network, and infrastructure-related incidents efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Nutanix and networking technologies, hold a valid CCNA certification, and demonstrate excellent communication skills with fluent English proficiency.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure-related incidents.</li><li>Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).</li><li>Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.</li><li>Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Respond to critical incidents and service requests within agreed response times.</li><li>Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud-related projects.</li><li>Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident reports, and service records.</li><li>Ensure professional interaction with end users, stakeholders, and customers at all times.</li></ul><h3>Required Skills & Experience</h3><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with the Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).</li><li>Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.</li><li>Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.</li><li>Proven experience providing Break & Fix support in enterprise environments.</li><li>Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues.</li><li>Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python is advantageous.</li></ul><h3>Mandatory Requirements</h3><ul><li>Valid CCNA Certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate).</li><li>Minimum 90% pass score on the induction assessment.</li><li>Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).</li><li>Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments.</li><li>Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Nutanix Certification (NCP or higher).</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.</li><li>Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.</li><li>Experience supporting enterprise networking infrastructure.</li></ul><h3>Soft Skills</h3><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.</li><li>Strong professionalism and customer-facing skills.</li><li>Ability to remain calm and effective during critical incidents.</li><li>Proactive problem-solving mindset.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within distributed teams.</li><li>Commitment to delivering high-quality technical support and customer satisfaction.</li></ul>
<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><span >Role objectives</span></p><ul><li>Provide psychosocial support to the members of the migrant community living in the designated DCs, IDPs and host communities.</li><li>Assess perceptions of MHPSS among beneficiaries, design appropriate key message, design suitable ways to share information, disseminate information to migrants through leaflets, media, social media, informal networks.</li><li>Conduct regular visits to detention centers (DCs) and urban locations in order to assess the needs of migrants, IDPs and host communities.</li><li>Provide psychological First aid within search and rescue operations.</li><li>Provide remote psychosocial support when needed.</li><li>Make necessary referral to other units, programs and departments within IOM and to other stakeholders.</li><li>Conduct a services mapping exercise in order to identify other units and stakeholders, migrant community mobilizers and leaders working to address the need of migrants in the relevant DCs and urban locations and needs of IDPs and hosting communities.</li><li>Liaise closely and coordinate with the health, protection and MRRM teams working in the area. This includes planning of the weekly visits, meetings, workshops trainings and so on.</li><li>Undertake all administrative and office related to ensuring the successful implementation of tasks and the project activities.</li><li>When required, develop purchase Request Forms (PRFs), get necessary approval and liaise with other unit/programs/departments within IOM to ensure that all travel and venue booking is completed in time.</li><li>Develop all necessary paperwork and get necessary approval liaising with other unit/programs/departments within IOM to ensure that all arrangements for trainings to conducted in Tunis and Libya are being completed on time.</li><li>Report any challenges and potentials hiccups in the process to the senior MHPSS assistant & Programme Manager in a timely manner.</li><li>Support the programme manager in identifying capacity building opportunities in Libya for Civil Society Organizations and Government counterparts, develop training materials and contribute to the delivery of trainings if required (translation or leading sessions).</li><li>Attend training sessions and document all process for processing approvals, authorizations maintaining up to date copies of all documents.</li><li>Work on creating a system for proper documentation.</li><li>Provide the programme manager with timely and accurate information of delivered activities and in compliance with IOM reporting formats and timeframes.</li><li>Liaise with other IOM units in particular Protection in addition to VHR, Health and Technical Cooperation, Community Stabilisation and MRRM to guarantee a holistic approach to responses, management of identified cases and referral when necessary.</li><li>Liaise with IOM partners, especially Civil Society Organizations and Government counterparts to ensure interventions are delivered in line with international guidelines and standards and IOM policies.</li><li>Travel to any location as requested by the direct supervisor when/where necessary.</li><li>Attend meetings both programmatic and technical on regular basis.</li><li>Liaise closely with the mental health professional to better follow up on cases.</li><li>Submit weekly and monthly reports documents all activities and services provided.</li><li>Undertake any other duty as may be assigned by the senior MHPSS assistant and PM.</li></ul><p>Project reporting Senior MHPSS Assistant</p><p>Key competencies</p><p>Values - all IOM staff members must abide by and demonstrate these three values:</p><ul><li>Inclusion and respect for diversity: respects and promotes individual and cultural differences;
