<p>Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Break & Fix Support) Location: Tripoli Employment Type: Freelance (On-Call Basis) Priority: High (Immediate Hiring) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide Break & Fix support services across enterprise infrastructure environments. This freelance, on-call role requires a highly skilled professional who can diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, network, and infrastructure-related incidents efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Nutanix and networking technologies, hold a valid CCNA certification, and demonstrate excellent communication skills with fluent English proficiency.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure-related incidents.</li><li>Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).</li><li>Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.</li><li>Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Respond to critical incidents and service requests within agreed response times.</li><li>Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud-related projects.</li><li>Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident reports, and service records.</li><li>Ensure professional interaction with end users, stakeholders, and customers at all times.</li></ul><h3>Required Skills & Experience</h3><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with the Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).</li><li>Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.</li><li>Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.</li><li>Proven experience providing Break & Fix support in enterprise environments.</li><li>Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues.</li><li>Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python is advantageous.</li></ul><h3>Mandatory Requirements</h3><ul><li>Valid CCNA Certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate).</li><li>Minimum 90% pass score on the induction assessment.</li><li>Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).</li><li>Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments.</li><li>Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Nutanix Certification (NCP or higher).</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.</li><li>Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.</li><li>Experience supporting enterprise networking infrastructure.</li></ul><h3>Soft Skills</h3><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.</li><li>Strong professionalism and customer-facing skills.</li><li>Ability to remain calm and effective during critical incidents.</li><li>Proactive problem-solving mindset.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within distributed teams.</li><li>Commitment to delivering high-quality technical support and customer satisfaction.</li></ul>
