<p>Bridge breakthrough science and clinical excellence join AstraZeneca as a Medical Science Liaison in Oncology and make an impact that matters in patients lives.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Build and maintain trusted relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and key stakeholders across the Oncology space.</li><li>Spend approximately 70% of time on field activities, including scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement, and visit preparation.</li><li>Develop and execute strategic KEE engagement plans, ensuring clear objectives, relevant data sharing, and scientific alignment.</li><li>Deliver timely, balanced scientific updates and respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in compliance with regulations.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support pre- and post-launch activities, including diagnostics and brand strategy.</li><li>Support local research initiatives, advisory boards, speaker training, and external medical education programs.</li><li>Act as the internal expert on therapeutic area trends, clinical practice insights, and competitive landscape intelligence.</li><li>Provide scientific support for formulary listings, product launches, and AZ-sponsored medical events.</li><li>Continuously enhance expertise through congress attendance, AZ trainings, and the 70-20-10 learning model.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with AstraZeneca and industry code of conduct, SOPs, and ethical standards in all scientific interactions.</li></ul><p>Job Requirements:</p><ul><li>Essential Criteria:</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical company, at least 1+ years of experience in a similar position.</li><li>Experience in Medical Affairs, in Oncology and/or in a specialty portfolio (e.g., Rare Disease, Hematology etc ) within a multinational pharmaceutical company is a must.</li><li>Bachelor s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related scientific field.</li><li>Proven ability to interact with and manage a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.</li><li>Strong skills in presenting, negotiating, and leading discussions in scientific and strategic settings.</li><li>Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and inspire cross-functional collaboration.</li><li>Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop effective networks.</li><li>Proficient in English Language.</li><li>Must possess a valid driving license and be willing to travel for field and business purposes.</li><li>Preferred Criteria:</li><li>Advanced scientific degree (e.g., MSc, PharmD, PhD) in Life Sciences is preferred.</li></ul><p>Please note that this position is based in Libya and is open to candidates willing to relocate.
