Job description
The Sales Operations Specialist supports the execution of the full sales operations cycle of Maggadit Food Industries products across Libya, ensuring smooth processing from order initiation to delivery and after-sales follow-up.
The role acts as a coordination point between Sales, Warehouses, Logistics, Fleet, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure efficient operations, timely deliveries, product availability, and high service levels.
The position also requires strong reporting and analytical capabilities to track performance, highlight gaps, and support operational improvements.
1. Sales Operations Execution
- Support the end-to-end sales order cycle from order creation to delivery
- Review orders and ensure alignment with:
- Stock availability
- Credit status and approvals
- Delivery schedules
- Operational priorities
- Customer classification and urgency
- Ensure all approved orders are entered and processed accurately in the system
- Coordinate with sales teams to resolve order-related issues
- Track pending, delayed, partial, and cancelled orders and escalate when required
2. Warehouse & Dispatch Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouses regarding:
- Stock availability and readiness
- Picking and loading schedules
- Product shortages or damages
- Support the dispatch process to ensure alignment with delivery plans
- Follow up on order preparation and loading accuracy
- Report any discrepancies or delays in fulfillment
3. Logistics & Fleet Coordination
- Coordinate with logistics and fleet teams regarding:
- Delivery scheduling
- Vehicle allocation
- Route planning support
- Track delivery progress and highlight delays
- Support monitoring of delivery performance and vehicle utilization
- Follow up on delivery issues, returns, and rejected deliveries
4. Merchandising & Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate with merchandising teams regarding:
- Product availability in market
- POSM distribution
- Execution of promotions
- Support marketing initiatives including:
- Campaign execution
- Product launches
- Sampling activities
- Provide feedback from operations to support market execution
5. Customer Service & After-Sales Support
- Follow up on customer complaints, returns, and shortages
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Track service issues and escalate when necessary
- Support sales teams in handling operational escalations
6. Reporting & Data Analysis
- Prepare and maintain:
- Daily operational reports
- Weekly performance reports
- Monthly summaries
- Monitor and analyse:
- Order processing status
- Delivery performance
- Stock movement
- Service issues
- Maintain accurate data in systems and dashboards
- Highlight operational gaps and support improvement initiatives
Skills
Good understanding of sales operations processes
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Strong Excel and reporting skills
