Roles & Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the Senior Protection Associate, the direct supervision of the Senior Child Protection Assistant, and in close coordination with other colleagues, the successful candidate will conduct all steps of the case management process for the assigned cases.

Undertake regular protection monitoring visits to detention centres and other places where migrants, IDPs, returnees and vulnerable host communities may reside, prepare protection assessment reports.

Conduct BIA of unaccompanied migrant children (UMCs) to help identify the urgent needs and possible solutions for children.

Carry out Best Interest determination reports and participate in BID panels.

Oversee referral of cases to relevant partner organizations for appropriate follow-up and/or to other units within OUR CLIENT for their respective follow-up.

Assist in identifying the urgent protection needs and possible solutions, as well as longer-term plans.

Identify and refer vulnerable cases for voluntary humanitarian return (VHR), follow up on procedures with the VHR team, embassy representatives, and the receiving mission, including family tracing.

Support the development and delivery of training and capacity building activities.

Participate in awareness raising events and workshops arranged by OUR CLIENT and partners

Contribute to the review of related materials and strengthening of tools related to CP, including information materials, case management tools and M&E surveys.

Prepare regular reports on CP including human interest stories.

Participate in case-management meetings. Assist in the maintenance of all protection-related case-management records and files; provide statistics and data analysis as required with full respect to OUR CLIENT data protection policy and the confidentiality of beneficiaries.

Ensure full adherence to protection principles including Do No Harm throughout all facets of work, as well as adherence to OUR CLIENT gender and PSEA policies.

Participate in BID meetings with UN sister agencies involved.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of three year professional experience in the field of Protection and assistance to vulnerable populations.
Effective organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and plans, ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines.
Demonstrated problem solving attitude and skills.
Good written and spoken communications skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken, knowledge of French is considered an advantage.
Good knowledge of MS Office applications.e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
