Structural Analysis Engineer (Lead / Senior / Principal) Department: Product Engineering Are you driven by complex engineering challenges and passionate about gas turbine propulsion? We are looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer at Lead, Senior or Principal level to play a key role in the development of cutting‑edge turbojet and turbofan engine programmes. In this role, you will take technical ownership of stress, vibration, and structural integrity assessments across critical gas turbine components, while also contributing to project planning and developing future engineering talent. What You’ll Be Responsible For Perform stress and vibration analysis of gas turbine components including compressors, turbines, shafts, bearing systems, and stationary structures. Design and optimise gas turbine systems for life, weight, manufacturability, and cost. Carry out thermo‑mechanical simulations across design, off‑design and far‑off‑design conditions to ensure safety and operability. Conduct creep, fatigue, fracture, LCF and HCF assessments. Perform vibration and rotor dynamic analysis. Lead and support FMECA activities to underpin safety and operability assessments. Contribute to FEA methodology development and best practice. Review designs, simulations, and engineering reports; define and support testing guidelines. Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation plans. Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing technical guidance and constructive feedback. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. What We’re Looking For Qualifications & Experience Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong background in gas turbine propulsion, mechanical design, structural integrity, and heat transfer. Solid grounding in Mechanics of Materials. Experience in whole-engine structural analysis and clearance assessments (desirable). Experience in bearing performance assessment (desirable). Fluent in English.5–15+ years of relevant industry experience (role level aligned with experience). Technical Skills Proficiency in CAD tools such as Solid Works, Siemens NX or equivalent. Expertise with commercial FEA packages (ANSYS, Hyper Works, Simcenter Nastran, etc.). Strong experience using FEA and lower‑order analysis methods. Programming experience in C, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar. Awareness of state‑of‑the‑art developments in materials, aerodynamics, and structural mechanics relevant to gas turbine propulsion. Strong problem‑solving, prioritisation, and delegation skills.
