Responsibilities
Conduct inspection of surface preparation, coating, and PFP application in accordance with project specifications and industry standards (ISO, SSPC, NACE, ASTM).
Verify environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) prior to coating and PFP application.
Monitor mixing, application, and curing of intumescent and cementitious PFP materials.
Ensure correct thickness (DFT) and adhesion of coatings and PFP layers using appropriate testing methods.
Perform holiday testing, adhesion testing, and fireproofing inspections as required.
Document inspection results, prepare daily reports, and maintain compliance records for audits.
Liaise with contractors, QA/QC teams, and clients to resolve technical issues.
Ensure strict adherence to HSE protocols during coating and fireproofing activities.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Civil Engineering.
Certification in coating inspection (e.g., NACE Level II/III, BGAS-CSWIP) is mandatory.
Proven experience in Passive Fire Protection (PFP) application – intumescent and cementitious systems.
Strong knowledge of coating systems, fireproofing materials, and inspection techniques.
Familiarity with oil & gas, offshore, or industrial project environments.
