Responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and systems used in upstream/midstream/downstream oil & gas operations. Ensures mechanical integrity, reliability, and compliance with industry codes and safety standards across all plant and field assets.
Provide technical leadership and support for mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, valves, piping systems, and pressure vessels within oil & gas facilities. Develop, review, and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for critical equipment breakdowns and recommend corrective/preventive actions Conduct mechanical integrity assessments, risk-based inspections (RBI), and life-cycle analysis of static and rotating equipment. Support turnaround/shutdown planning, scope development, execution, and quality control for mechanical work packages. Monitor equipment performance using condition monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis) and recommend corrective actions. Ensure all mechanical work is carried out in compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and process safety management (PSM) requirements. Liaise with project, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth commissioning and handover of new mechanical installations.
