Position: Parametric Modeler Free CAD

Type: Contract

Compensation: $30 - $120/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

Lead full parametric modeling projects in Free CAD from conception through production-ready deliverables. Utilize BIM and IFC to coordinate and document building models, including walls, slabs, and structures. Import, export, and validate IFC data to ensure seamless interoperability with other CAD/BIM platforms. Develop and manage constrained sketches, parametric model trees, and building components throughout project lifecycles. Prepare detailed documentation sets, including technical drawings and model exports in formats such as STEP, STL, DXF, and IFC. Articulate modeling strategies, BIM structuring choices, and interoperability considerations clearly in both written documentation and verbal recordings.

Requirements

Have expert-level proficiency in Free CAD, demonstrated by a strong portfolio of complex, completed projects. Have a proven track record managing full parametric 3D CAD workflows using Free CAD from concept to production. Possess deep practical knowledge of BIM methodologies and IFC standards, including relevant Free CAD workbenches. Have hands-on experience with building elements, model structuring, and data management for interoperability. Have solid skills in Auto CAD, CAM, and other 3D CAD software environments.
