Global Procurement Transformation Leader Industry: Automotive Department: Purchasing Reporting To: CPO
Job Overview The Senior / Head of Strategic Sourcing will lead the global sourcing strategy, drive procurement excellence, and establish standardized processes across geographies. This role is responsible for governance, cost optimization, supplier strategy, and ensuring alignment of sourcing initiatives with enterprise-wide business objectives and program leader. The incumbent must have successfully led procurement & program leadership at a global scale function, digitization / automation of sourcing and manage sustainability scope 3.
Key Responsibilities• Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy aligned with organizational goals.• Establish global category strategies with regional customization where required.• Governance, Policies, SOPs, Guidelines• Drive global supplier consolidation, strategic partnerships, and long-term value creation.• Partner with EVP’s/regional leadership to align sourcing with global business growth plans• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of end-to-end global sourcing processes (Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay).• Establish uniform RFP/RFQ protocols, supplier evaluation criteria, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models.• Define and enforce global procurement governance policies and control frameworks.• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, anti-bribery regulations, ESG standards, and local statutoryrequirements.• Establish Delegation of Authority (DOA) matrices across regions.• Lead global audit readiness and compliance reviews.• Implement global risk management frameworks addressing geopolitical, financial, and supply chain risks.• Develop contract lifecycle management standards across all regions.• Foster collaboration between global category leads and regional procurement teams.
Requirements• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration,• 18+ years of progressive experience in procurement/strategic sourcing, including global leadership roles.• Proven track record of managing multi-country sourcing operations.• Experience in managing complex, multi-billion-dollar spend portfolios.• Proficiency in global ERP and procurement platforms (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, etc.).• Excellent verbal and written English.
