Job Purpose A defense company in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its advanced technology team. This role suits an experienced and driven software development professional who is passionate about innovation and cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cryptography, software development, and internet protocols, along with the leadership skills needed to guide technical teams and foster innovation. In this position, you will lead technical planning and execution, oversee engineering projects, and ensure delivery meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of mobile communication solutions, with a strong focus on platform-level capabilities and effective device management. Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA, and operations) to define mobile project requirements, scope, and priorities, ensuring alignment with business goals. Translate strategic objectives into robust, scalable mobile software architectures and high-quality technical designs. Drive end-to-end delivery of mobile development projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and high standards of performance and reliability. Establish, refine, and champion mobile development best practices, tools, and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and long-term maintainability. Act as a technical advisor and agile leader, mentoring teams, guiding architectural decisions, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering environment. Promote continuous improvement by leading change initiatives, optimizing development practices, and encouraging innovation across mobile teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Requires a minimum of 8-10 years of overall experience in software development. Strong technical background in software engineering principles. Soli track record in software development in embedded Linux and mobile platforms. Experience in symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, OSI layers and protocols
