The role of Intern – Internal Communications is designed as a learning opportunity and works under the close guidance of experienced internal communications professionals to support the development and execution of internal communications strategies that align with Abdul Latif Jameel’s goals and objectives, ensuring effective and impactful communication across our network of businesses.

Responsibilities:
Planning · Competent supporting the delivery of high-quality communications plans aligned with organizational objectives and values, mapped against business and brand objectives. · Adept in supporting the management of the internal communications calendar, ensuring timing, consistency, and alignment across channels.
Stakeholder collaboration and communication· Communicates clearly and professionally with team members and immediate stakeholders. · Demonstrates a growing awareness of how their work impacts others and contributes to team goals. · Provides regular updates on progress and seeks clarification when needed.
Creative storyteller · Ability to source, research, and develop stories from across Abdul Latif Jameel’s network of businesses.
Excellent writing and editing skills · Displayed ability to support the development of error-free content for internal communications that’s delivered to deadline. · Able to support the management of the internal communications calendar to ensure timely and consistent communications that aligns across channels.
Content creation and tools · Competent leveraging tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.· Competent creating multimedia content including short videos, infographics, presentation decks, and email templates.
Other responsibilities:-Responsible for positioning, promoting, and protecting the brand and reputation of Abdul Latif Jameel within the scope of the role.7 Supports change communications.-Intranet management experience in creating, editing and supporting the management of content.-Competent in supporting the planning and implementation of events including townhalls, internal awards and fireside chats.
Qualifications:· A minimum of 1-2 years of related experience writing and editing projects. · A sound understanding of internal communications tools such as intranets, email management systems, webinars and digital signage systems. Demonstrated experience will be highly valued. · Experience supporting the implementation of engagement initiatives. · Experience working in hybrid or remote workplace environments.
Job-specific Skills:· The role of Intern requires a self-motivated and organized communications individual who can demonstrate their ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organization. · A ‘can-do’ and positive approach to challenges. · Ability to develop communications for a range of channels including written, graphic, digital and face-to-face channels. · Outstanding organizational and time management skills. · Confident and effective use of AI.
Langugage:Fluency in English is necessary. Ability to communicate in Arabic will be an added advantage
