Position: Open Scad Expert Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $20 - $120/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities Lead end-to-end Open SCAD projects from requirements gathering to final model export. Develop and structure parametric scripts with reusable modules for efficient design workflows. Apply CSG techniques to create complex 3D models and perform 2D-to-3D transformations. Iterate on models with logical, script-driven decision-making and engineering reasoning. Prepare and export files in standard formats ensuring manufacturing compatibility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate design processes. Document workflows, design rationale, and technical decisions for AI-driven applications.
Requirements Strong experience with Open SCAD and completion of full design projects. Solid knowledge of CAD fundamentals and Constructive Solid Geometry concepts. Proficiency in Auto CAD or similar CAD software tools. Ability to create, optimize, and document reusable parametric scripts and modules. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach.
