Position: Transcription Expert (Psychology) Type: Contract Compensation: $50 - $200/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities Transcribe audio recordings with high accuracy, focusing on speaker tone, sentiment, and emotional cues. Identify and classify a wide range of emotions expressed by speakers in different contexts. Develop, refine, and apply structured rubrics for emotion detection and speaker categorization. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain consistency and accuracy in emotional classification. Provide detailed written reports and verbal insights on emotional patterns and findings. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in transcription and emotion analysis. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive information.
Requirements Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Psychology, Linguistics, or a related field. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with native-level English proficiency. Demonstrated experience in transcription, linguistic analysis, or psychological assessment. Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish nuanced emotions in speech. Experience developing or applying classification rubrics for qualitative analysis. Strong organizational and time management skills in remote work environments. Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
