On behalf of a well-established company operating within a diversified group structure, we are seeking a Senior System Engineer – Infrastructure to join their team on a full-time remote basis across the MENA region. About the Role As a Senior System Engineer – Infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-availability infrastructure environments. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, optimizing performance, and supporting cloud and on-premise infrastructure across the organization. This role is ideal for a proactive infrastructure expert who thrives in remote, distributed environments and is passionate about reliability, security, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure solutions (cloud and on-premise). Manage and optimize servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and network components. Administer cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring scalability and security best practices. Implement monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and ensure minimal downtime. Collaborate with cybersecurity and Dev Ops teams to enhance system security and automation. Maintain infrastructure documentation, policies, and technical procedures. Support system upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning initiatives. Participate in incident response and root cause analysis when required. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or system administration roles. Strong experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Solid knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols. Experience with monitoring tools and backup solutions. Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (Power Shell, Bash, or similar). Relevant certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, VMware) are a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within remote teams across MENA time zones.
