Job Title: Senior Accountant Locations: Oman, Kuwait, Qatar & KSAIndustry Preference: Oil & Gas (Preferred)
Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's regional offices across Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and KSA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting management with accurate financial reporting. Experience in the Oil & Gas sector will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements. Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT, tax filings, and other statutory reports in accordance with local laws. Monitor cash flow and support treasury management activities. Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and cost control. Ensure compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and internal controls. Support regional management with financial insights and performance analysis. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector. Strong knowledge of IFRS and regional financial regulations. Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
