About the Brasserie We are a stylish French brasserie in Baku, inspired by classic Parisian dining and warm hospitality. Our menu celebrates traditional French comfort dishes, artisanal breads, and elegant desserts made with high-quality ingredients and timeless techniques. Position Summary We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to oversee and execute all pastry and dessert offerings. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in French pastry, consistency-driven execution, and a passion for delivering refined yet approachable desserts in a brasserie setting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and execute classic French pastries and desserts (e.g. tarts, éclairs, crème brûlée, mousses, viennoiserie) Develop seasonal dessert menus in line with the brasserie concept Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all pastry items Manage daily pastry production and mise en place Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards Monitor inventory, ordering, and minimize waste Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu balance and special events Train and support junior pastry staff, if applicable Requirements & Qualifications Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a French restaurant, brasserie, or bakery Strong knowledge of classical French pastry techniques Experience with doughs, creams, chocolate, and plated desserts Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment High attention to detail and consistency Culinary or pastry diploma preferred Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Opportunity to work in an established French brasserie concept Professional and collaborative kitchen environment Potential relocation and accommodation support (if applicable) Creative input on seasonal menus and specials
