Safety Engineer - Turbofan Location: UAE Abu Dhabi Department/BU: Turbofan Reports To: System Engineering Leader
The Safety Engineer ensures system safety and regulatory compliance throughout the engine lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Perform FHA, PSSA, SSA, FMEA, FTA along development phases and engine lifecycle Define safety methodology and objectives Assess failure conditions and mitigation strategies. Support certification safety reviews. Participate in accident/incident investigations.
Qualifications & Experience Minimum 8 years of experience within turbofan propulsion, aerospace, or other complex engineered systems Solid understanding of turbofan architectures and Test results analysis (including engine build-up and dressing, AGB, ECU, modules FAN/LPC/HPC/HPT/LPT/TRF/OGV…, sub-systems and their integration constraints) Strong knowledge of certification rules (CS-E, FAR33, ARP4754A,STANAG, MIL-HDBK…), safety analysis FHA, PSSA, SSA, FMEA, FTA, ZSA and methodologies (SORA, SAIL Class, Weibull, Reliability Block Diagram, MTBF…) Exposure to customer, OEMs, authorities and complex environment
Skills Safety and Reliability Engineering Software such as Fault Tree+, Isograph Reliability Workbench, Relia Soft, Windchill / Teamcenter Agile and evident-based mindset Ability to analyze and structure complex information into actionable product decision under pressure with a sense of urgency Ability to work in a multicultural environment, across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and commercial teams Excellent communication skills, team player
