The Role
We are seeking a Head of Marketing to lead the marketing function across our entire portfolio.
This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of brand, marketing strategy, team, and budget. You will report directly to the General Manager and form part of the senior leadership team.
You will not inherit a marketing function. You will build one — at the standard our brands and our customers deserve.
Role Profile
Strategy & Brand Leadership
- Develop and execute the integrated marketing strategy across all Brandzo brands.
- Champion brand positioning, visual identity, and consistency across every customer touchpoint.
- Ensure full alignment with international franchise partners' brand guidelines and global marketing standards.
- Translate business ambition into clear, prioritised marketing programmes.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop the internal marketing team across brand, digital, content, and creative.
- Manage external agency, production, and media partners.
- Coach and mentor team members; create career pathways within the function.
Customer Engagement & Growth
- Drive brand awareness, footfall, and customer engagement through integrated campaigns across digital, social, retail, PR, and experiential channels.
- Lead performance marketing across paid social, search, programmatic, and influencer activation.
- Develop seasonal marketing programmes calibrated to the Libyan retail calendar — Ramadan, Eid, summer, and back-to-school.
Commercial Performance
- Own the full marketing budget — planning, allocation, optimisation, and ROI reporting.
- Build the measurement frameworks and reporting rhythms that demonstrate marketing's commercial contribution.
- Partner with Commercial and Retail leadership to drive sales conversion through integrated marketing programmes.
Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- Manage relationships with international franchise partners' marketing teams.
- Lead mall-anchored activations and in-store experiences across the portfolio.
- Represent the marketing function at the senior leadership table, contributing to broader business strategy.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Background in retail, malls, franchise, FMCG, or lifestyle sectors is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of building marketing functions, leading teams, and delivering measurable business growth.
Technical Expertise
- Hands-on proficiency in Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
- Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
- CRM systems, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Leadership & Personal Attributes
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
- Proven team builder — you have hired, mentored, and developed marketers.
- Data-driven decision maker, comfortable with KPIs, ROAS, CPA, and conversion funnels.
- Creative vision balanced with operational discipline.
- Hands-on operator — comfortable writing the brief, running the campaign, and auditing the results.
- Ability to manage multiple brands simultaneously without losing strategic focus.
