The Position:
The Finance Associate delivers quality financial services to internal and external clients, applying relevant rules, guidelines, processes and procedures. You will provide reliable transactional and monitoring support to the Country Office and UNFPA-supported projects, ensuring compliance with established financial regulations and procedures.
You will report directly to the International Operations Manager.

Job Purpose:
You will contribute to the efficient management of financial resources of the Country Office by processing financial transactions, maintaining financial records, supporting budget monitoring, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance activities.
The role ensures financial transactions are accurate, properly documented, and aligned with approved budgets and UNFPA rules.

Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Completed Secondary/High school Level Education is required with 6 years of Exp or a first-level bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration is required with 3 years of exp
- Qualified Professional Accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CA is desirable
Knowledge and Experience:

- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with Completed Secondary/High school Level Education or 3 years with bachelordegree in finance-related experience - accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, etc.;
- Experience in UN financial rules and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle cloud, SAP , etc..) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and computerized accounting systems is required.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to organize effectively, work under pressure with attention to detail, precision and accuracy
- Dedication to UN principles and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with persons of different national backgrounds.
- Experience in the above areas with international organizations will be an asset;
