Inventory Controller

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Controller to join our dynamic team in Tripoli, Libya with Maggadit Food Industries . The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock management, and supporting the overall supply chain operations. This role is crucial in managing inventory to meet the demands of our business while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. The Inventory Controller will work closely with various departments, including procurement, warehouse, and sales, to ensure that inventory is tracked and managed effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of inventory management systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize excess inventory.
  2. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain accurate stock records.
  3. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any discrepancies in orders.
  4. Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate reports for analysis.
  5. Implement inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the supply chain.
  6. Assist in the development of inventory forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
  7. Train and support warehouse staff on best practices for inventory handling and management.
  8. Analyze inventory turnover rates and provide recommendations for improvement.
  9. Coordinate with the sales team to align inventory levels with customer demand and promotional activities.
  10. Prepare and present inventory performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience in inventory management or a related field, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  4. Proficiency in inventory management software ERP and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  7. Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
  8. Strong understanding of data analysis and reporting techniques.
  9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
