Your Mission as an Accounting Department Manager
As the Accounting Department Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our financial operations. Your mission is to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes, while guiding the team and contributing to the overall financial health and growth of the company.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as Accounting Department Manager
- Manage daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and review financial statements to maintain accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations and company policies, focusing on tax law, stamp duty law, and social security regulations.
- Oversee the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors.
- Provide financial analysis and actionable insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and supervise accounting staff, fostering professional development and teamwork.

Skills
Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as an Accounting Department Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- 12–15 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role, ideally within an international organization in the automotive sector.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage multiple teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of tax law, stamp duty law, social security regulations, and GAAP principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with automotive dealership management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in both English and Arabic.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Additional Information
- Working Hours: 9 to 4, Saturday to Thursday.
- Location: Misrata, Libya.
