Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Country Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of sales, marketing, and distribution in Libya. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in the FMCG sector, a deep understanding of the Libyan market, and the ability to develop and implement strategies that drive growth and optimize market presence. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams while achieving ambitious business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets. Lead the sales team to achieve high performance, ensuring market penetration and expansion.
- Marketing Strategy: Oversee the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns tailored to the Libyan market. Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to optimize brand positioning and promotional activities.
- Distribution Management: Manage distribution networks to ensure product availability across all channels, including retail, wholesale, and key accounts. Strengthen relationships with distributors and partners to maximize market reach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor and analyze market performance metrics, identifying opportunities and challenges to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to align local strategies with corporate goals and standards.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies while upholding the highest ethical standards.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen market visibility.
- Provide market intelligence and actionable insights to guide regional and corporate decision-making.
Skills
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 12+ years of experience in sales, marketing, and distribution within the FMCG sector.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing sales, marketing, and distribution operations in Libya or similar markets.
- In-depth knowledge of the Libyan market, including consumer behavior, regulatory frameworks, and distribution channels.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Expertise in strategic planning, performance monitoring, and achieving measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic.
- Willingness to travel across Libya as required.
