Job Description

Al-Salam hospital is looking for Yemeni nationals to recruit in the Medical Department in Khamer, Amran governorate for the following position:
 
COUNSELOR EDUCATOR 

Location: Amran Governorate – Khamer
Contract type: Volunteer with MOH.
Reporting to: MH Supervisor / Mental Health Activities Manager.
Collaborates with: All MOH and MSF medical teams, MSF logistic and Admin teams of the project (Khamer Al-Salam hospital).

Perform counselling and/or education sessions to patients, following different medical and mental health MSF protocols and procedures, in order to improve their psychosocial condition.

In the frame of these activities he/she will:

• Identify the psychosocial, socio-economic and administrative needs for patients 
• Actively promote the availability of counselling services and carry out, individual or in group counseling, basic psycho educational sessions, to patients, their families (when needed), in order to alleviate their psychosocial difficulties within the project scope. 
• Refer patients to other specialists or other institutions for further assistance, when necessary in order to propose the best support available. 
• Participate in the creation of any material needed for counseling activities and look after it.
• Keep files and statistics of daily activities and participate in team meetings to share experiences and discuss special cases with other counselors, preserving confidentiality 
• Inform line manager of any problem of any kind arising during the day-to-day activities. 
• Take active part in trainings, supervisions/ interventions and support the activities manager when necessary in doing sensitization for MSF staff or external partners about mental health /psychosocial issues. 
• Discuss difficulties and problems in counselling with supervisor.
• In collaboration with the MH supervisor, conduct daily departments’ rounds (including the CTC and MTU), for the identification of patients’ needs.
• In collaboration with the MH supervisor, identify “health education needs” of patients and link them up with the Health Promotion team as needed.
• Report cases of patients’ abuse of any sort to the MH supervisor.
• Maintain high levels of professional deontology.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

•     Education: Counseling, social work, psychology or other similar degree/diploma.
•     Experience: 1-year experience essential. Experience with NGO desirable.
•     Languages: Local language essential. Mission language desirable.
•     Competencies: Results, teamwork, flexibility, commitment, service

    
مستشفى السلام بخمر يبحث عن مواطن يمني لتوظيفه في القسم الطبي بمستشفى السلام - خمر بمحافظة عمران للوظيفة التالية:

مستشار تثقيفي 

الموقع: محافظة عمران – خمر.
نوع العقد: متطوع مع وزارة الصحة.
رفع التقارير: مشرف الصحة النفسية.

بالتعاون مع: جميع الكادر الطبي التابع لوزارة الصحة ومنظمة أطباء بلا حدود والكادر اللوجستي والإداري للمشروع بمستشفى السلام بخمر.
إجراء جلسات استشارية و/أو تثقيفية للمرضى، باتباع مختلف بروتوكولات وإجراءات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود الطبية والصحة العقلية، من أجل تحسين حالتهم النفسية والاجتماعية.

في إطار هذه الأنشطة سوف يقوم بما يلي:         

• تحديد الاحتياجات النفسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية والإدارية للمرضى
• العمل بنشاط على تعزيز توافر خدمات المشورة وتقديم المشورة الفردية أو الجماعية والدورات التثقيفية النفسية الأساسية للمرضى وأسرهم (عند الحاجة) من أجل التخفيف من الصعوبات النفسية والاجتماعية التي يواجهونها في نطاق المشروع
• إحالة المرضى إلى أخصائيين آخرين أو مؤسسات أخرى للحصول على مزيد من المساعدة، عند الضرورة لاقتراح أفضل دعم متاح.
• المشاركة في إعداد أي مواد لازمة لأنشطة الإرشاد والعناية بها.
• الاحتفاظ بملفات وإحصاءات الأنشطة اليومية والمشاركة في اجتماعات الفريق لتبادل الخبرات ومناقشة الحالات الخاصة مع المستشارين الآخرين، مع الحفاظ على السرية.
• إبلاغ المدير المباشر بأي مشكلة من أي نوع تنشأ أثناء الأنشطة اليومية.
• المشاركة بنشاط في الدورات التدريبية والإشراف ودعم مدير الأنشطة عند الضرورة في توعية موظفي منظمة أطباء بلا حدود أو الشركاء الخارجيين بقضايا الصحة العقلية/المسائل النفسية والاجتماعية.
• مناقشة المشاكل والصعوبات في الاستشارات مع المشرف المباشر. 
• بالتعاون مع مشرف الصحة النفسية، إجراء جولات يومية للأقسام بما في ذلك CTC) و(CTU ، لتحديد احتياجات المرضى.
• بالتعاون مع مشرف الصحة النفسية، تحديد "احتياجات التثقيف الصحي" للمرضى وربطهم بفريق تعزيز الصحة حسب الحاجة.
• الإبلاغ عن حالات إساءة معاملة المرضى من أي نوع إلى مشرف الصحة النفسية.
• الحفاظ على مستويات عالية من أخلاقيات المهنة.

المؤهلات والمهارات المطلوبة:

•  أساسي: شهادة في الخدمة الاجتماعية /الصحة النفسية او أي تخصص مماثل.
•  خبرة سنة في التخصص وخبرة في العمل مع منظمة غير حكومية أخرى.
•  اتقان التحدث باللغة العربية وستكون مهارة التحدث باللغة الإنجليزية ميزة إضافية.
•  العمل الجماعي والالتزام والمرونة والخدمة.
