Position: Professional Video Editor (Kdenlive) Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $30 - $100/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities Edit and deliver high-quality video projects using Kdenlive and advanced non-linear workflows. Manage and structure complex multi-layered video projects across formats and durations. Implement proxy editing techniques for efficient handling of high-resolution footage. Apply color grading and correction to ensure visual consistency and quality. Perform audio editing, mixing, and synchronization for professional output. Optimize rendering and export settings for multiple distribution platforms. Collaborate with teams to align creative direction with technical execution.
Requirements Strong experience using Kdenlive for professional video editing. Strong understanding of non-linear editing workflows and multi-track compositing. Strong experience with color grading, audio editing, and post-production processes. Ability to manage complex projects from raw footage to final delivery. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills for project structuring and archiving. Ability to stay updated with evolving editing tools and best practices.
