The Role We are looking for a Senior Data Professional (Data Engineering & Data Science) to support us in a short-term consulting engagement (10–20 hours) focused on reviewing and critically evaluating our current assessment process. This is not an implementation role. Your responsibility will be to thoroughly analyze our existing assessments (technical tests, interviews, scorecards, evaluation criteria) and provide clear, structured, and actionable recommendations on:What should be changed What should be improved What should be removed What should be added How the structure should evolve We are specifically looking for someone who can explicitly tell us what to fix and how to improve it, not someone who will execute the changes.
Scope of Work You will:Review our full assessment process for:Data Engineering profiles Data Science profiles Evaluate technical assignments, case studies, interview structure, and scoring criteria Assess alignment with current market standards and industry best practices Identify skill gaps, outdated components, inconsistencies, or over/under-assessment area Deliver a structured written report including:Strengths of the current process Weaknesses and risks Concrete improvement recommendations Clear guidance on exactly what should be modified and why The final output should enable our internal team to implement the changes independently.
Requirements10+ years of experience across Data Engineering and/or Data Science Strong understanding of modern data stack and production environments Experience with technologies such as:Python (Pandas, Num Py, Scikit-learn, PySpark) SQLBig Data ecosystems Data pipelines & ETL/ELT architectures ML workflows (for DS track) Experience designing technical assessments or interviewing senior data professionals Strong awareness of current market expectations for Data Engineers and Data Scientists Ability to provide structured, critical, and unbiased feedback Advanced English communication skills
