About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer
who should have a deep knowledge of road construction, project management ,rural access mobility road projects, bulk earthworks, drainage system, environmental ecosystem, project economic impact assessment ,traffic engineering, personnel and equipment control, asphalt paving works, planning, scheduling, estimating, quality control, concrete works, site inspection and supervision, subcontractor handling, project timely execution, construction safety, construction in remote regions, site engineering, working in remote and conflict zones, construction problems and challenges, environmental impact assessments, right of way and community dispute mediation
Responsibilities.
- Ensuring engineering standards are met and providing technical solutions for project implementation.
- Integrating input from designers, workers, clients, and suppliers, and facilitating teamwork.
- Allocating resources, managing budgets, and overseeing project schedules.
- Addressing technical issues, mitigating risks, and finding solutions for unexpected challenges.
- Liaising with stakeholders, providing updates, and explaining technical details.
- Monitoring work at project sites, especially in construction.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.
- Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
- Regularly update to the line manager on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.
Requirements.
- Education: Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience managing large-scale road and bridge construction projects, including oversight of QC/QA, safety compliance, and budget control.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, material management, project planning, and industry-standard project management tools.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in challenging environments, deliver results under pressure, and travel within Libya as needed.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
