What You Will Do as an Accountant - Process and reconcile accounts receivable (A/R) / accounts payable (A/P) / transactions efficiently and accurately on a daily basis.
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments, initiate collections, and ensure timely settlement of vendor invoices.
- Perform regular reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts, ensuring data integrity and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee treasury functions, including daily bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and preparation of cash position reports.
- Coordinate with banks for payments, transfers, letters of credit, and other treasury operations as needed.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting by providing reliable, up-to-date A/R, A/P, and cash flow data.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all related transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant financial regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and management, to support ongoing business operations and objectives.
Qualifications & Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive as anAccountant - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Minimum of 1 year' experience in a similar accounts receivable, accounts payable, or treasury accounting role—preferably within a technology, engineering, or services company.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial reconciliation, and cash management best practices.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems (such as SAP, Odoo, or similar platforms).
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in financial data entry and processing.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Professional integrity and adherence to confidentiality standards in handling sensitive financial information.
