We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team with Maggadit food industires in Tripoli, Libya. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Forklift Operator will also be tasked with ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials within our warehouse or manufacturing facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to our operational efficiency by ensuring that all goods are handled correctly and that the warehouse remains organized.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods within the facility.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, ensuring that all products are accounted for.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse layout to optimize space and efficiency.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge regarding equipment operation and safety.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of operational excellence.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to forklift operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage inventory effectively.
- Possess a valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials as required.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in attendance and work performance.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory software is a plus.
