Job Description:

The Laboratory Doctor will play a crucial role in conducting and analyzing laboratory tests on tissue, blood, and body fluids to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases. This position involves managing the setup, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment, supervising blood collection, and ensuring the accuracy of test results through detailed reports. Strong analytical skills and adherence to medical standards are essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities

- Administer tests of tissue, blood, and body fluids to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating ailments.


- Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids (such as blood and urine) using microscopes or automatic analyzers to detect abnormalities or diseases.


- Manage the setup, adjustment, and maintenance of medical laboratory equipment while complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.


- Analyze bodily fluid test results to ensure conformity to specifications, and prepare reports using charts, graphs, and narratives.


- Supervise blood collection from patients, adhering to principles of asepsis, and instruct laboratory technicians and assistants.


- Monitor and supervise the Internal and External Quality Control Programs, ensuring smooth workflow and resolving any equipment malfunctions by reporting them to the Medical Director.


Requirements & Qualifications:


- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in general hospitals in Jordan.


- Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Pathology, or a related field.


- Proven expertise in conducting chemical analysis of body fluids and managing laboratory equipment.


- Strong knowledge of quality control standards and laboratory safety protocols.


- Proficiency with microscopes, automatic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.


- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate test reports using charts, graphs, and narratives.


- Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience in supervising laboratory technicians and assistants.


- Ability to collaborate with the management team on projects and technical tasks.


Language:

Fluent in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
