- Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Monitor production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and efficiency goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support the Plant Manager in supervising and motivating a diverse workforce, including production staff, technicians, and support personnel.
- Assist in assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance to ensure productivity and quality targets are met.
- Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager and other departments to develop production schedules and prioritize orders based on customer demands and resource availability.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control systems to ensure compliance with product specifications and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues or deviations from standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure that machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced to minimize downtime.
- Assist in evaluating the need for new equipment or upgrades and make recommendations to improve production efficiency.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), efficiency metrics, and any operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory levels, and other relevant documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related.Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel furniture manufacturing.Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in using manufacturing software and systems.Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
